PIN the kernel to the current version in apt

create a new file under /etc/apt/preferences.d with the following content

Package: linux-server
Pin: version
Pin-Priority: 1001

Package: linux-image-server
Pin: version
Pin-Priority: 1001

Package: linux-headers-server
Pin: version
Pin-Priority: 1001

then run

apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

you will find that you won’t get the kernel upgrade notice any more.

you can find you current kernel version with

dpkg -l|grep linux


Repositories for pidgin(pidgin的apt源)

[1] 在apt源(/etc/apt/sources.list中加入如下两行:

deb  gutsy main
deb-src  gutsy main

[2] 下载key文件:


[3] 导入key文件:aptrepository.asc

sudo apt-key add aptrepository.asc

[4] 更新apt列表

sudo  apt-get  update


sudo apt-get install pidgin
